Mrs Effie Wallace, 53, who lived at 1076 N Belmont Ave., died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday at City Hospital. She was taken there Tuesday suffering from pneumonia. Mrs. Wallace had lived in Springfield for many years. The body was taken to the Doom Bros Funeral Home in New Carlisle. The funeral services will be held at the Christian Union Church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be made in Donnelsville Cemetery.

Lee Wallace, 74, of 238 W. Pleasant St., died at his home at 6 p.m. Friday following a heart attack. Wallace, a resident of Springfield and vicinity for the last 55 years was an employee of The Lagonda Manufacturing Co. His death was unexpected, and came while he was cranking an automobile at his home.
He had been an employee of the local concern for the last 14 years.
Thirteen children survive. They are: George, Wilbur, Vance, Melvin Edward, Mildred and Betty Jane Wallace, and Mrs. Mary Sagar, all of Springfield. Clarence and James Wallace of Columbus; Mrs. Ethel Brown of Urbana, Harry Wallace of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Mina Brennan of Gary, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted at the W. Pleasant St. address at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial in the Donnelsville Cemetery.

MAN KILLED AS TRACTOR UPSETS NEAR URBANA
G. WALLACE IS VICTIM OF MISHAP
URBANA-George Richardson Wallace, 55, was killed instantly at 4 p.m. Saturday when a farm tractor he was operating overturned northeast of here.
The victim, who had been employed on the Harry Dachenbach farm two miles from Urbana for 15 years, was born Nov. 3, 1901, in Clark County.
Death was attributed to a crushed chest according to Deputy Champaign County Coroner Dr. J. K. Pond.
According to reports, Mr. Wallace was plowing and apparently drove too close to a deep ditch. He was pinned underneath the tractor and it took the efforts of the Urbana Fire Division emergency squad and two wrecker crews to free him.
He was the son of Leonidas and Effie Grube Wallace. He was not married.
Survivors include five sisters-Mrs. Jesse Brown, Springfield; Mrs. Betty Botkin, New Carlisle; Mrs. Mildred May and Mrs. Rose Stanley, both of Youngstown, and Mrs. Mary Ricciardi, Ft. Myers, Fla.; and six brothers-Wilbur C., Harry and Melville, all of Springfield; Vance E., Crystal Lake; Clarence E., Columbus; and Edward A., Ft. Myers, Fla.
The body was taken to the Humphreys and Son funeral Home. It was to be taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home in Springfield Sunday where funeral arrangements will be completed. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Springfield.

Wilbur C Wallace, 55, of 2359 Home City Rd was found dead Monday afternoon in a car in the rear of 1701 Lexington Ave. He was found by a newspaperboy...
Coroner Austin Richards said the victim had a history as a heart patient. Mr Wallace's brother, Harry, of 117 S Yellow Springs St, told hospital attendants the dead man had been under a physician's care for several years.
Th boy discovered the body about 4:30 pm, and ran to the nearby No 6 Engine House. Firemen there called the emergency squad which took the man to City Hospital where Mr Wallace was pronounced dead on arrival.
A former machinist, Mr Wallace was born in Clark County, Dec 28, 1903. He was the son of Lee D and Effie Grube Wallace. He lived in Clark County most of his life.
His most recent employment was with Aero Products of Vandalia. He also worked for a number of years for Payne Tool and Engineering Co of Springfield.
In addition to his brother, Mr Wallace is survived by his widow, Thelma; four other brothers, clarence of Columbus; Vance of Medway; Edward of Ft Myers, Fla, and Melville of Tampa, Fla. Five sisters also survive. They are Mrs Ethel Brown and Mrs Mary Ricciardi, both of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Mrs Rose Dovella and Mrs Mildred May, both of Youngstown, and Mrs Betty Botkin of Springfield.
His body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with burial in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev William E Martin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Richard Eugene Wallace born at 4:45 a.m. Sept 30, 1927 at the Methodist Hospital and died 31 hours and 15 minutes later at 2 p.m., Oct 1, 1927. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Gary, IN at 3 p.m. on Oct 3, 1927. Mr & Mrs J B Phillips, Mr and Mrs Edward Carter accompanied the father to the grave. Flowers were provided by Mr and Mrs J B Phillips and Mrs Charles Shricker. The infant was buried in Row B, grave #16, in north east part of the yard. Mother confined to hospital.

Betty Jane Botkin 63, of The Cole Manor Apartments
died at 5:24 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 1987 in Community Hospital following
a lengthy illness. A Lifetime resident of Clark County she was born here
August 26, 1923 the daughter of Lee D Wallace and Effie (Grube) Wallace.
She was formerly employed by the Village Inn, South Charleston. She is survived
by six sons, Jon, Dean, Herbert, Charles, Michael and Edward Botkin all of
Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Paula) Hall and Mrs. William (Barbara)
Wiram, both of Springfield; one brother, Melville "Bud" Wallace, Jeffersonville,
Ohio; two sisters, Mildred Tondo, Girard, Ohio and Mary Ricciardi, Fort Myers,
Florida; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Jake" Botkin in 1973. Friends
may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday in the Austin Richards Raff Memorial Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday in the Memorial Home with
Rev John F Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Grace P. Beard, 90, of the IOOF Home, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday in Community Hospital after two weeks of serious illness. Mrs. Beard was a housemother at the Community Hospital School of Nursing for 15 years and was a member of Fletcher Chapel Methodist Church. A life resident of Springfield, she was born Jan, 6, 1880, a daughter of William & Sarah E. Callison. Survivors include two sons, John E. Black and Allen G. Black of Belleair Bluffs, Fla.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Hoss of Springfield, Mrs. Oron Eversole of North Hampton and Mrs. Robert Smith of Smithland, Ind. Mrs. Beard's first husband, Albert C. Black, died in 1935. Her second, Walter H. Beard, died in 1967. Friends may call Friday after 3 p.m. in the Richards Memorial Home. The family will receive friends there from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home by the Rev. Dale Beittel, pastor of Central Methodist Church. Girard, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at 12:09 a.m. due to Cancer in
St Elizabeth Hospital, She was born on May 30, 1920 in Springfield, Ohio,
the daughter of Leonidas Dunreath and Effie Elizabeth (Grube) Wallace. She
came to Girard in 1972 from Youngstown, Ohio. She was a member of a Methodist
Church. She married Dominic Donald Tondo on August 16, 1961. Survivors include
a brother, Melville Franklin Wallace of Jeffersonville, Ohio; sister, Mrs
Mary Pauline Ricciardi of Ft Myers, Florida. Funeral services will be held
at 8 p.m. Thursday in the McClurkin Funeral Home on July 14, 1994. Calling
hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Services to follow calling hours. Interment in
Glen Haven Memorial Park. Committal Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday
at the Cemetery.

Mary P Ricciardi, 84, of Fort Myers, died on Monday. She was born at New Carlisle, OH and came to Fort Myers from Youngstown, Ohio, in 1951.
She is survived by her son Gary (Peggy) Ricciardi, Knoxville, TN, and her daughter, Connie (Mark) Hurd, Fort Myers; a brother, Bud Wallace of Jeffersonville, OH; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 am at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Fumeral Home, with mass to be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Entombment will be at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens
